‘Ghosting’ Scam Haunts Family Members of Deceased

In fact, according to “Protecting Deceased Loved Ones from Identity Theft” by Sid Kircheimer of the AARP Bulletin, nearly 2,200 deceased Americans’ identities are deliberately stolen daily to fraudulently open credit card accounts.
